Cannabis strains to get Heritage listing Bangkok Post
Four cannabis strains from Thailand are set to be registered as National Heritage to advance research into their applications, Deputy Prime Minister and Public Health Minister Anutin Charnvirakul announced on Monday.
The strains, named ST1, TT1, UUA1, and RD1, have been approved for cultivation by the Medicinal Plant Research Institute under the Department of Medical Sciences, following the decriminalization of several parts of the cannabis plant last year by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
Mr. Anutin mentioned that the registrations are awaiting certification from the Agriculture Department, with the process expected to be completed by August.
